Interscope RecordsSongs by top artists that have appeared in movies over the past year have been nominated for The Hollywood Music in Media Awards, which honor “musical excellence in visual media.”

In the Original Song — Feature Film category, Lady Gaga‘s hit duet with Bradley Cooper, “Shallow,” is nominated. 

In the Original Song — Documentary category, “I’ll Fight,” performed by Jennifer Hudson for RBG, a documentary about Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, is nominated.

In the Original Song — Animated Film category, “Stronger Than I Ever Was,” written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin and performed by Mary J. Blige for the movie Sherlock Gnomes, is nominated. 

In the Original Song — Sci Fi, Fantasy or Horror Film category, “Ashes,” the song Celine Dion recorded for the soundtrack of Deadpool 2, is nominated.

In the category of Soundtrack Album, A Star Is Born is nominated, as are the soundtracks for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Fifty Shades Darker, Deadpool 2 and Black Panther.

The 2018 Hollywood Music in Media Awards will be held November 14, and a portion of the proceeds will go to music education.
