No big surprise, really — Lady Gaga’s latest album, Joanne, will debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
The October 21 release marks Gaga’s fourth Billboard #1 album, following her 2014 Grammy-winning Tony Bennett duets project Cheek to Cheek, Artpop the year before that, and 2011’s Born This Way.
Joanne sold 201,000 units, which is more than expected. Some 170,000 of those were traditional sales which, Billboard notes, is the seventh-biggest debut of the year, and the second-biggest by a female artist. Gaga’s also the first woman to score four Billboard 200 chart-toppers in the 2010s — Beyoncé and Taylor Swift each have three in the last six years.
Gaga pulled out all the stops in promoting Joanne, including appearing on Saturday Night Live as well as The Late Late Show’s Carpool Karaoke on an episode last week, during which she also sat in with the band.
