Josh Groban has now confirmed that his new album Bridges — his first collection of original music in five years — will arrive September 21.
The new album is currently available for pre-order, if you do so, you’ll get three free downloads: the previously released songs “Granted” and “Symphony,” and the French-language song, “S’il Suffisait D’Aimer,” which means “If Loving Were Enough.”
In a statement, Josh says, “With Bridges I wanted to create an album that took me back to the spirit of how I made my first ones but with a modern approach and with so many more years of stories to tell. I felt so good and so inspired making this album, more than ever before, with friends old and new taking part.”
He adds that the album “both ‘bridges’ my musical worlds old and new, and also hopefully plays a small part in connecting people in that unique way music can.”
On the album, Josh sings in English, French, Italian and Spanish, and there are also what’s described as “a couple of exciting duets,” details of which will be announced later.
If you want to watch Josh as well as listen to him, his new Netflix series The Good Cop, co-starring Tony Danza, will also arrive September 21.
As previously reported, Josh will kick off his Bridges tour October 18 in Duluth, GA, with special guest Idina Menzel.
Josh will appear on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday.
