Adele made it clear she’s rooting for Leonardo DiCaprio to win Best Actor at the Oscars tonight for his role in The Revenant. The singer posted a photo on Instagram and Twitter Sunday morning of herself Photoshopped in front of the clock from Titanic, where Jack, Leo’s character, meets up with Kate Winslet’s Rose.
“Good luck Leo! Everyone loves you because you’re the best. Meet me at the clock anytime bruv X,” she wrote, using the British slang for “brother.”
She isn’t the only pop star cheering Leo on tonight. Lady Gaga also showed her support.
“Don’t know about u but I’m rooting for LEO! He’s blessed us w/ years of his storytelling, he deserves this! #1!!” she tweeted.
Adele is, of course, an Oscar winner herself. She picked up the trophy in 2013 for her James Bond theme “Skyfall.” And Gaga is nominated for Best Original Song tonight for “Til It Happens to You” from the documentary The Hunting Ground, which is about sexual abuse on college campuses.
Gaga also tweeted support to Kesha, who says she has been a victim of emotional and sexual abuse at the hands of her producer, Dr. Luke. Luke denies the charges. “I’ll be thinking of u 2nite,” Gaga wrote. “This is not over we’ll stand by u until you are free to live a HAPPY life. Everyone deserves that.”
